Choose a location first and the complete Weather dashboard opens. Connecting your own station is optional.
Choose how you want to start
Bring my station
Choose your station brand to see the relevant connection fields. You can also add a station later under Settings → My station.
Join my home
Enter the address of your existing Stormdesk host and the short pairing code shown on that host. This connects a household screen to the setup you already use.
Change the appearance
Open Settings → Appearance → Theme. Graphite Silver is the default for new browser setups. Ten dark themes and the earlier appearance choices are available; saved selections are preserved. The gauge arrangement stays locked in every theme.
Keep household alerts running
A desktop or headless StormDesk host must stay running for continuous station ingestion, archive history, alert-rule evaluation, and reliable notifications while browser pages are closed. Android by itself does not promise independent background delivery.
Common fixes
The app shows stale or cached data
Open Settings → My station → Device health & diagnostics. Check Source and Forecast first; each failing check gives a next action. Confirm the host is running and the station or internet connection is available.
A second screen can view weather but cannot change settings
That is the normal viewer mode. On the host, open Household access and create a six-digit pairing code. Enter it on the other device within ten minutes.
Official alerts or radar are unavailable
The current official-alert and radar integrations are US-first. Forecasts still work worldwide. Confirm the saved location is inside the supported region.
The Mac says StormDesk cannot be verified
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway for StormDesk.
The Linux AppImage opens a blank window
Start it with ./StormDesk_4.5.1_amd64.AppImage --browser. StormDesk will open in your regular browser.

Search existing reports or open a GitHub issue. Include your operating system, StormDesk version, station connection method, and the Health Center result. Never post station tokens, passwords, or pairing codes.
