StormDesk checks the important steps as you go: location, source connection, first reading, forecast, regional alerts, and household pairing.
Choose how you want to start
Existing StormDesk host
Open the host address on another household device. Enter the short pairing code if that device needs to edit shared settings.
Weather for a place
Search a town or postcode. StormDesk verifies the forecast and shows worldwide weather without station hardware.
Keep household alerts running
A desktop or headless StormDesk host must stay running for continuous station ingestion, archive history, alert-rule evaluation, and reliable notifications while browser pages are closed. Android by itself does not promise independent background delivery.
Common fixes
The app shows stale or cached data
Open Settings → Health Center. Check Source and Forecast first; each failing check gives a next action. Confirm the host is running and the station or internet connection is available.
A second screen can view weather but cannot change settings
That is the normal viewer mode. On the host, open Household access and create a six-digit pairing code. Enter it on the other device within ten minutes.
Official alerts or radar are unavailable
The current official-alert and radar integrations are US-first. Forecasts still work worldwide. Confirm the saved location is inside the supported region.
The Mac says StormDesk cannot be verified
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway for StormDesk.
The Linux AppImage opens a blank window
Start it with ./StormDesk_4.3.4_amd64.AppImage --browser. StormDesk will open in your regular browser.

Search existing reports or open a GitHub issue. Include your operating system, StormDesk version, station connection method, and the Health Center result. Never post station tokens, passwords, or pairing codes.
